Background of the Study
IT governance refers to the structures, processes, and mechanisms that ensure IT investments align with business goals and deliver value. Effective IT governance is essential for the long-term sustainability of corporate organizations, particularly in areas like risk management, resource allocation, and ensuring strategic alignment. In Zamfara State, many corporate organizations are still transitioning to more structured IT governance models. This study aims to examine the impact of IT governance on the sustainability of businesses in the region, focusing on its role in enhancing operational efficiency, managing risks, and fostering innovation (Abdullah & Umar, 2023).
Statement of the Problem
Many organizations in Zamfara State struggle with suboptimal IT governance, which negatively affects their business sustainability. Poor alignment of IT systems with organizational strategies, lack of proper monitoring, and ineffective risk management can hinder corporate growth and sustainability. This study seeks to investigate the relationship between IT governance practices and business sustainability in corporate organizations in Zamfara State (Adamu & Bala, 2023).

Scope and Limitations of the Study
This study will focus on corporate organizations in Zamfara State that have implemented IT governance practices. Limitations may include challenges in gathering primary data from corporate executives and possible biases in self-reported IT governance practices.
